Description
The Technical Product Director is responsible for overseeing the roadmap definition and product prioritization across two strategic missions: the development of a new AI and data-centric software product, and the evolution of Accedo’s OTT platform into a more modular, reusable, and contribution-based architecture.
The role requires strong product management experience, a background in data-driven B2B product strategy, and the ability to maintain roadmap coherence across proactive initiatives and incoming delivery-led contributions. This person collaborates closely with the Portfolio Architect, Delivery, Sales, the AI Strategy Director, and Strategic Partnerships, while guiding a junior product manager on execution.
The role is also responsible for customer validation and maintaining relevance by staying informed on OTT platform trends — especially in evolving monetization strategies. It plays a key role in unlocking the strategic potential of Accedo’s distributed engineering model, which involves over 200 engineers globally working on customer projects that build on top of the OTT platform.
Mission
The Technical Product Director ensures that both proactive product strategy and reactive contribution streams align to measurable business outcomes by:
- Driving the roadmap and outcome alignment for Accedo’s new AI and Data software.
- Driving the roadmap and outcome alignment for the Accedo’ OTT software, foundation for our professional and managed services engagement with the high end of the Media market.
- Tracking global OTT platform and monetization trends to maintain strategic relevance.
- Engaging directly with customers and prospects to validate needs, test assumptions, and refine product direction.
- Collaborating with architecture and delivery to ensure feasibility and alignment, and commercial teams across the globe to ensure value and business model proposition fit.

AI & Data Software Ownership
- Define the vision, positioning, and roadmap of a new AI and data software product.
- Guide a junior product manager responsible for day-to-day execution.
- Collaborate with the AI Strategy Director to translate opportunities into product capabilities.
- Drive early customer validation efforts, gathering structured feedback to ensure product-market fit.
- Facilitate customer interviews, prototypes, or pilots to test solution effectiveness against key business outcomes.
OTT Software - Strategic Roadmap Alignment in a Contribution-Based Model
- Maintain a unified roadmap across OTT and AI product lines, balancing proactive priorities with contributions from global delivery teams.
- Ensure that the customer-specific features developed by over 200 engineers working on live deployments are structured, reusable, and evaluated for inclusion in the core product stack.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Architect, who defines the contribution framework and technical standards, to ensure roadmap items are prioritised based on business value and feasibility.
- Prevent value dilution by ensuring contributions meet cross-platform standards (e.g., Web, iOS, Android, CTV) and align with strategic outcomes.
- Clearly position the OTT software as a platform that scales through global project collaboration, not just as a fixed product.
- Balance these incoming requests with outcome-driven roadmap items — ensuring focus on KPIs like playback quality, TCO, churn, and monetization flexibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Outcome Governance
- Collaborate with Engineering and Delivery to align execution with product strategy.
- Lead product planning routines and roadmap sessions to maintain internal alignment.
- Work with customer-facing teams (Sales, Strategy, Customer Success) to ensure product-market fit and value packaging.
- Ensure post-deployment measurement of impact and ROI.Champion a culture of structured prioritization (e.g., PRICE) and outcome tracking across software teams.
Market & Trend Intelligence
- Track global OTT platform trends, especially in media monetization models (SVOD, AVOD, FAST, hybrid, loyalty, bundling).
- Stay informed on customer platform strategies and monetization challenges, translating insights into actionable roadmap initiatives.
- Collaborate with Strategic Partnerships and Marketing to position the portfolio against evolving market expectations.
- Ensure both the AI/Data software and OTT platform support modern monetization workflows and integrations.
