About the Role:

As a QA Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our clients’ projects. Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the QA owner for clients’ projects, handling primary communication and planning related to QA activities.
  • Act as the local leader at our Guadalajara office.
  • Manage team leadership, focusing on continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
  • Initiate discussions, mentor team members, and facilitate team meetings.
  • Participate in QA consultancy engagements.
  • Design and execute test plans, strategies, cases, and scripts across various platforms (mobile, web, smart TV, game console) to ensure exceptional product quality aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for quality-related issues.
  • Participate in governance activities.
  • Take ownership of QA Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drive relevant initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to support team growth and development.
  • Train new employees on platform compliance, test automation, and planning.
  • Define and maintain best Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE) procedures and standards.
  • Cover aspects such as test planning, tool usage, and test automation.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, set goals, and perform performance reviews.
  • Promote and act in alignment with Accedo’s core values.


Location:

  • This role is based in Guadalajara, Mexico. We welcome candidates interested in hybrid work, but they must be located in Guadalajara or willing to relocate there. 


Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a client-facing QA manager/lead for projects involving a distributed team.
  • At least 2 years of QA leadership experience.
  • Good business acumen to understand the organization’s goals and align QA processes accordingly.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Video/Streaming industry and relevant technologies. 
  • Hands-on experience and expertise in automated testing and familiarity with automation tools (assessment of automation knowledge will be conducted).
  • Advanced English proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality-related issues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SDLC (Agile, Scrum) and various QA methodologies.
  • Passion for new technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and empathetic approach.
  • Enjoyment in coaching and mentoring team members.
  • A team player who collaborates effectively.
  • QA consultancy experience would be a significant advantage.
