Accedo Broadband Expands its Operations in the US
Stockholm, Sweden, 25 July 2007 – Accedo Broadband today announced that it is expanding its operations across the globe. The company, which is a leading aggregator and distributor of interactive applications and content, has opened up office in the USA to support its rapidly growing North American business.
The US office is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, a rapidly growing area for new media technologies and IPTV both with initiatives from traditional broadcasters and internet-centric companies. Tim Beloney, VP Sales and Business Development, North America, has been brought in to run the San Francisco office.
Michael Lantz, CEO, Accedo Broadband, commented: “We believe that the US market will go through a period of tremendous growth both within telco-driven IPTV and new internet TV initiatives gradually moving towards a 10 foot TV experience. With existing clients located worldwide, it was a natural step to expand our operations to better service their needs, as well as those of potential customers. Accedo also has a number of business partners in the US which we will work more closer with for new opportunities in North America.”
Accedo’s market position among leading telcos and other IPTV service providers in Europe, the world’s most advanced IPTV market, gives Accedo excellent possibilities in supplying a world-class offering to the North American markets. The US office adds to Accedo Broadband’s existing presence in Sweden and the UK.
