It’s that time of the year again. Gifts have been exchanged, holiday feasts have been consumed and the New Year has just started. All of this can only mean one thing, the Consumer Electronics Show is coming and it´s time to get ready for some busy days in Las Vegas.
CES is usually a good testament to the astounding pace of evolution in the TV and video entertainment market. While many come to CES to embrace their inner geek and thrill at devices for both the near and distant future, there are two perspectives that are often missing:
- how important content is to bring all these technologies to life for the average person, e.g. last year we marvelled around 4k and virtual reality and now we are starting to see some interesting use cases for consumers.
- Although, choice and device proliferation are fantastic for consumers, it causes great challenges for video service providers, which need to cope with all that innovation & fragmentation.
To stay relevant and compelling requires significant and continued technology investments, coupled with continuous monitoring and assessment of systems and processes for the business operation. To stay not just competitive, but to ensure manageable operational costs, requires the right balance between buying or building an end-to-end video solution.
At CES this year, we will be showcasing how we are helping entertainment companies and brands of every size, embrace change and transform their businesses and video experiences today, for the TV of tomorrow.
