CodeBaby and Accedo Broadband Sign Partner Agreement to Bring On-Device Customer Care to IPTV Market
Stockholm, Sweden and Edmonton, Canada – December 5, 2006 – CodeBaby, a global leader in interactive virtual agent solutions, and Accedo Broadband, a leading aggregator of TV-centric interactive applications, today announced a partner agreement that will see Accedo Broadband marketing CodeBaby’s on-device Interactive Customer Care solution to IPTV operators globally.
“IPTV operators are building business cases based on driving subscriber use of next generation services such as interactive video entertainment and other types of interactive content. They expect that these will be among the biggest drivers behind on-demand entertainment,” stated CodeBaby Chief Executive Officer, Shaheel Hooda. “Accedo Broadband has a very strong position in supplying this type of content to the IPTV market. We are honored to be engaged with them as they offer a content portfolio compatible with most IP set-top boxes and broadband enabled consumer electronics devices on the market. We are very excited about both the nearterm with their existing customers and long-term opportunities as we both continue to expand our IPTV businesses.”
“CodeBaby provides an essential piece of the customer experience that typically is overlooked by operators – the ability to deliver training on how to use these advanced services and applications to customers, directly on-device. From our experience we know that customer understanding of how to use these services directly contributes to actual usage and has a significant impact on operator revenue. We believe adding CodeBaby’s solution will add attractiveness to our portfolio of interactive content and applications – this will be a very valuable combination for operators,” said Michael Lantz, CEO of Accedo Broadband.
CodeBaby is the leader in Virtual Agent based self-service solutions, and enables organizations to integrate state-of-the-art, interactive 3D characters into Web sites, software, mobile devices, kiosks, IPTV and eLearning applications.
