NAB, Las Vegas, April 3, 2018 – Accedo (https://www.accedo.tv), the video experience pioneer, today announced it will debut an Augmented Reality (AR) prototype for live, broadcast sports events at this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas.
The AR experience, powered by the Accedo One™ video experience platform, is designed to give a TV viewer a more personalised and engaging second-screen experience during a long-distance sports events such as marathons, rally or bicycle races. Accedo has created a ‘bird’s eye view’ of a large physical area by placing an interactive overview with real-time updates in the viewer’s physical space through a tablet or mobile phone.

Although the technology has been available for years, devices have only recently become affordable for consumer applications. Over the coming months, we expect growing interest in this area.
